NHS Greater Manchester
We exhibited Projecting Grief in Manchester’s Trafford Centre during Dying Matters Week to promote NHS Greater Manchester’s bereavement support services. We also launched three new stories from members of the Sing Their Name choir - a choir composed of people bereaved by suicide - and facilitated a creative writing workshops with author Freya Bromley and a collaging workshop with Jo Burgess.
The Sing Their Name community choir is an incredibly special group giving people hope after losing a loved one to suicide. We interviewed and photographed choir members Helen, Frances and Catherine who shared their stories of loss and singing. During the exhibition week at the Trafford Centre, the choir gave a beautiful, emotionally-charged performance.
PG sitters Freya Bromley and Jo Burgess also led hands-on creative sessions. It was our first time hosting a collaging workshop and it was a gorgeous, mindful session expertly led by Jo.
